With a height of approximately 36 meters (118 feet) and a trunk circumference of about 12 meters (39 feet), it serves as a powerful reminder of the grandeur of nature.
Its history dates back to 1055, when it is said that Minamoto no Yoshiie, during a military campaign, rested at the residence of Tarōbei Ninomiya. As a token of gratitude, he planted this tree. Even after 950 years, the tree retains a magnificent and healthy form, making it a place where visitors can feel an almost mystical energy simply by standing near it.
